Downward spreading of turbulence beneath breaking waves and its influence on sediment suspension

On Thursday, 1 December 2011, at 10.00, Aline Pieterse will present her MSc thesis work on turbulence and sand transport beneath breaking waves. Her work is based on the data that she gathered during a 6-week field campaign on the barrier island of Ameland in 2010.
