To improve their advisory competences this course is aimed to make students get acquainted with the practices of coastal zone and river management.
Students should have appropriate physical geography or geology courses, particularly in fluvial and coastal geomorphology and/or sedimentology. They have to appreciate the role of interdisciplinary science and the role of (applied) sciences in societal issues and coastal zone and river basin management problems and challenges.
